Every municipality requires animals to be licensed and these days it is common to have the animal's profile available online with a link to it on their collar.
This link can help connect the animal to the owner if it is ever lost.
If you did not order your Tap Source Pet Tag pre-programmed with your pet's Docupet profile page, then you would have received your pet tag BLANK, and you are now free to program your Tap Source Pet Tag yourself!

- How to create a link to your pet's page
- How to program your Tap Source Pet Tag using NFC Tools.
STEP 1: Gather the pet tag you received from Docupet after you licensed your pet with your municipal animal control and your Tap Source Pet Tag.
STEP 2: Launch a web browser and visit the Docupet website. Select your country then input your pet's tag number on the back of your municpal license tag into Docupet's search engine.
STEP 3: If the last step was successful, you will see your pet's profile page.
STEP 4: While you are on your pet's profile page, copy the URL in your web browser.
STEP 5: Launch NFC Tools and select Write directly from the Home screen
STEP 6: Select Add a record.
STEP 7: From the list of options available, select URL (NOTE: You can use this exact method to program your Tap Source Pet Tag to call you directly by selecting "Phone Number" from the same list).
STEP 8: Paste the URL you copied from Docupet into the field.
STEP 9: Finalize and prepare your link by selecting the Checkmark in the upper right hand corner.
STEP 10: Get your Tap Source Pet Tag ready. If you see your pet's profile URL ready, you can select Write to program your tag.
STEP 11: Hold your Tap Source Pet Tag where your device can read it and hold it there until NFC Tools has completed the process.
STEP 12: You will notified if programming is successful.
STEP 13: Test your Tap Source Pet Tag and you will be ready to go!
